Introducing: Our Fall 2013 Custom Shoe Colours

1-minute read

Note: Poppy Barley no longer offers Custom Fitting / Made to Order.

Poppy Barley Fall 2013 Boot Colours Summer is coming to close, and it's impossible to feel sad, because the most beautiful season is upon us.

With colder temperatures comes warm and saturated shades.

We don multiple layers, cozy knits, and soft leather boots.

When we selected the leather colours for our Fall '13 collection of custom shoes, we imagined all of the above, sipping hot coffee at a café, taking long walks through the river valley, and admiring the rich glow from aging leaves.

We're thrilled to present to you Poppy Barley's Fall '13 Leather Colours for our bespoke boots and custom shoes.

New to the line-up: Royal Purple Nubuck, Black Nubuck, Sand Gray, Toffee, and a rich Chocolate Brown.

Here to stay from our previous collections, Kaki, Camel Nubuck, Essential Black, Metallic Gold, Black Python and Plum Nude.

This September, you'll be able to colour block and customize these leathers with both our boots and flats.

As you can see, we're bringing in more options for Nubuck boots and shoes.

Nubuck is a top-grain cattle leather that has been sanded or buffed on the grain side (the exterior), to give a slight nap of short protein fibers, producing a velvet-like surface.

A more luxurious alternative to suede, this material provides just the right amount of texture and warmth for autumn.

The best part? Whether you're looking for wide calf boots or narrow calf boots, whether you're looking for comfortable shoes to fit your wide feet, narrow feet, or high arches, all of these colour options are available to you. With custom shoes, fit doesn't stand in the way of getting the look, shoe styles and leather colours you want this season.

Belt Measuring Guide

Belt Measuring Guide

A - High-rise style:

If you plan to wear your belt around your natural waistline, wrap a measuring tape around the narrowest part of your midsection. Then, add 3” to determine your high-rise belt size.

B - Mid-rise style:

If you plan to wear your belt lower than your natural waistline, you will require a dierent size. If you have a particular pair of bottoms you intend to wear your belt with, wrap a measuring tape through the belt loops while in a relaxed position.

When wearing your belt in your preferred style, it should fasten in the middle hole. The belt will relax with wear allowing you to cinch it tighter, as needed.

If you plan to wear the belt in both the high and mid-rise styles, you have two options:

  1. Select your high-rise style and fasten it more loosely when worn in the mid-rise style.
  2. Select your mid-rise style and fasten it more tightly when worn in the high-rise style.
